Description

We have known Cody Foster so long, in fact, way before he started what we know today as Cody Foster & Co. When he owned a small folk art company called Backporch Friends, he was just 16, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with when he formed that company in 1991. Back then, Cody Foster was the artist/designer and was inspired by his grandma, who was instrumental in teaching him the skills he would need to design and construct the wonderful folk art dolls. Growing beyond those roots, the Cody Foster Company, who changed their name in 2005 to Cody Foster & CO., supplies us with vintage style folk art and ornaments for all holidays. The reproduction line is so popular that he has been featured in many magazines over the years, most notably the Mary Englebreit December 2003 issue. We received so many requests for his candy boxes, ornaments, houses and vintage trees from that article that we sold out in record time! Now he is known for so much more, especially his vintage houses for Christmas and Halloween and his quintessential Halloween buckets that collectors can’t wait to purchase year after year! Cody Foster loves to design things that harken back to the vintage past, but he also has his finger on the pulse of contemporary culture. Just one look at his ornament line and you will see what we mean!
