Ghosts Continue to be Popular Halloween Decor!
BOO! YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH GHOSTS!
Just a couple of Halloween's ago, ghost figures and decor really started soaring in popularity. Unlike most fads or trends in the Halloween world, that give way to other characters after just a year, ghosts have not lost their appeal, in fact they continue to be a very sought after category. There are just so many styles to choose from and this is just a small sample!. The picture above was taken in our store and it features quite a few of the Bethany Lowe collection of paper mache ghosts. They come in all shapes and sizes with just as many spooktacular faces!
Bethany Lowe Halloween
Bethany Lowe is known for her vintage style decor and her ghosts are so popular because they seamlessly fit into a display and in fact make it more enticing. Who doesn't enjoy illuminated decor at Halloween? It is almost a prerequisite that at least some of your decor can be lighted! Because most of these paper mache ghosts are open on the bottom and hollow inside, illuminating them with a battery operated candle or tea light would make for an eerie display for your Halloween party or Halloween night. The large ghost above that stands around 21" tall is a perfect anchor for a ghost display and can be illuminated with a C7 light cord and bulb as well as the ghost on pedestal standing next to him. The smaller ghost bucket that holds a pumpkin bucket can be illuminated with a small tea light both in the body of the ghost and inside the pumpkin! How fun is that!
**Please do not use a candle in paper mache, because the material is flammable and would catch fire.
Your Halloween Display
There is no doubt that a large group of similar items, like the ghosts in our picture makes quite the statement! But you can also combine them with decor you already own and incorporate them into a display of figures. Pairing the ghost figures with the white pumpkins on pedestals that spell out the word "BOO" or combine them with lighted black trees for a fabulous display on a tabletop or mantel.
You are only limited to your imagination or use the photo displays you see on our blog, Instagram page or newsletter as your inspiration!
Happy Halloween Decorating!!
