New Arrivals from Vandolls: Spooktacular Folk Art Lanterns
Rachel’s new Halloween pieces blend the nostalgic feel of antique holiday decorations with her own whimsical, primitive touch. Each one is handmade right here in America, using vintage fabrics, found objects, and a deep passion for storytelling through art.

Here’s what’s just arrived:

American Made Vandolls Cackling Witch Lantern

The Cackling Witch Lantern:
This piece captures the essence of Halloween folklore! When viewed from the side, you’ll spot her exaggerated, protruding chin and nose—those iconic witchy features we all know and love. Insert a battery operated candle and her mischievous grin and paper eyes will glow!  She’s equal parts eerie and enchanting.

The Vandolls Shocked Black Cat Lantern

The Shocked Black Cat Lantern:
With its wide, paper eyes and mouth frozen in surprise, this lantern gives off major vintage vibes. There's a large opening at the top of the cat’s head—perfect for tucking in a battery operated candle to illuminate its expression from within. It’s perfect to add to your Halloween collection.

The Vandolls Shocked Pumpkin Lantern

The Shocked Pumpkin Lantern:
Similar in design to the cat lantern, this jack-o’-lantern stuns with an expression of spooked surprise! The glowing paper eyes and mouth light up when a battery operated candle is placed inside, turning this handmade piece into an atmospheric centerpiece for your mantel, entry table, or Halloween party display.

About the Artist: Rachel Garrison of Vandolls Folk Art
Rachel is a fourth-generation folk artist whose creativity runs deep. Growing up in a home filled with artistry, she spent her childhood watching her mother stitch magic into feed sacks and antique calico prints—transforming them into heartwarming, heirloom-quality decor. That same spirit shines through in every Vandolls piece.

While Rachel is one of the newest artists to join the Traditions family, she’s been crafting as long as she can remember. Her mission? To follow in her mother’s footsteps and build a joyful, folky business of her own—infused with nostalgia, character, and just the right amount of spooky fun. Her creations have even been featured in magazines for their authenticity and handcrafted charm.
