Vandolls Folkart gives a classic Halloween ghost a hilariously nervous personality with the Frightened Ghost Lantern. His enormous eyes, raised brows, and trembling open mouth make him look as though he has just discovered that ghosts can get scared too.

The rounded ghost is finished in distressed shades of ghostly cream and gray, with scattered black speckles and smudges creating a wonderfully timeworn folk art appearance. A small black nose sits between oversized oval eyes, while uneven teeth peek from his worried mouth. Black painted lines around the eyes, cheeks, and chin make his anxious expression even more animated. A festive ruff of crinkled orange and black paper surrounds the base. When illuminated, warm light shines through the eyes and mouth, transforming his frightened face with an eerie golden glow.

Full of vintage Halloween character, the Frightened Ghost Lantern is wonderfully fun displayed among pumpkins, black cats, moons, and other Vandolls Folkart lanterns.
