About State of Wisconsin Ornament
- An Old World Christmas glass ornament
Capture the Badger State in miniature with this vibrant State of Wisconsin Ornament from Old World Christmas. Standing at 4.5 inches, this glass treasure is shaped like Wisconsin itself, adorned with symbols that celebrate its rich heritage and culture.
While milk holds the title of the state beverage, a nod to Wisconsin's dairy dominance, this ornament doesn't forget the unofficial runner-up, featuring a frothy beer mug alongside a plump cheese wedge. A testament to Wisconsin's love for sports, a football makes a proud appearance, and a playful cow reminds us of the state's famed cheese and farming roots.
The ornament shines in deep blue that might remind one of the many lakes dotting the landscape to the glimmer of gold that hints at the fields of grain. On the flip side, it pays homage to the state bird, the American robin, and the state flower, the Wood Violet, rounding out a full portrait of the state's natural beauty.
It's a celebration in glass, perfect for Wisconsin natives, transplants who hold the state dear, or anyone who's been charmed by the land known for its friendly folks and festive spirit. Whether it's game day or a quiet evening at home, this ornament brings a piece of Wisconsin's warmth to your Christmas tree.
Text on Old World hang tag: Known as the Badger State, today Wisconsin is recognized as the dairy capital of America. Wisconsin with its German and Norwegian heritage and love of football, beer and cheese has contributed much including the ice cream sundae, typewriter and first kindergarten.
