About Silver Jingle Bell Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Echoing the festive sounds of holiday merriment, the Silver Jingle Bell Ornament brings the musical tradition of Christmas to your tree. This 2.5-inch glass ornament, crafted by the artisans at Old World Christmas, is a sparkling symbol of the season's joy and a herald of good fortune.
Shaped like the classic bells that once adorned horse harnesses, this ornament glistens with a silvery sheen, accentuated by glittering patterns and golden stars that capture the essence of holiday celebrations. The use of bells on horse harnesses served a practical purpose, their melodious jingles providing a cheerful warning of an approaching sleigh, but over time, they have come to symbolize much more. Today, the sound of jingle bells is an unmistakable sign that Santa Claus and his reindeer are near, a sound that fills children and adults alike with anticipation and wonder.
This ornament is a homage to that tradition, designed to jingle gently against the branches of your Christmas tree with every movement. The meticulous crafting process ensures that each bell ornament carries with it the rich heritage and warmth of Christmases past, while adding a contemporary elegance to your holiday decor.
As this Silver Jingle Bell Ornament sways from your tree, it not only adds visual beauty but also invites you to pause and listen, to be present in the moment and to relish the joyous sounds that are as integral to the holiday season as the sights and scents. It's a festive beacon that resonates with the cheerfulness of jolly laughter and the clatter of hooves on rooftops, bringing the legendary magic of Christmas Eve into your home.
Text on Old World hang tag: For years, this style of bell has been attached to harnesses for horses. Horse bells attract good luck and warn others of an approaching carriage or sleigh. The cheery sound of jingle bells at Christmas time traditionally signals the arrival of Santa Claus and his reindeer.
