About Sand Dollar Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Bringing the beach to your Christmas tree, this Sand Dollar Ornament from Old World Christmas is a little piece of oceanic treasure to hang on your Christmas tree. Shining with detail, it's designed to reflect the light and add a serene glow to your festive decor.
Now, this isn't just a pretty seaside token. There's a beautiful legend behind the sand dollar, often said to symbolize Christ's birth with the Christmas Poinsettia and His resurrection with the Easter lily. This glass beauty holds onto that symbolism tightly within its 3.5 inches, creating a connection between the wonders of the ocean and the heart of the holiday story.
Crafted with a fine brilliant lacquer, this ornament brings the mystery of the sea to the warmth of your home. It shines with a realism that can spark the imagination, making you think of calm seas and sunlit beaches, which is quite the relaxing thought amid the winter festivities.
While the real sand dollar myth speaks of doves of peace hidden inside, this glass version promises to keep the peace and goodwill intact without the need to break it open. It's an ornament that carries more than just decorative value; it’s steeped in a rich narrative, waiting to be shared.
So go ahead, give your holiday tree a hint of coastal charm and a dash of legend with this Sand Dollar Ornament. It’s more than just a bauble; it’s a keepsake that will shine year after year, sparking memories and conversations about the deeper meanings woven into our holiday traditions.
Text on Old World Hang tag: According to legend, the sand dollar was left by Christ. On one side, a Christmas Poinsettia is represented to symbolize His birth, and on the other side, an Easter lily to remind us of His resurrection. If a sand dollar is broken, five white doves will be released to spread peace and goodwill.
