An Old World Christmas glass ornament. Sambro Island Lighthouse located at the entrance of Halifax Harbor in Nova Scotia is the oldest surviving lighthouse in all of North America. It was built in 1759 during the Seven Years War and was one of the first acts approved by the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia. As lighthouses go they don't get much more traditional than this fitting glass ornament tribute to the red and white striped Sambro lighthouse!
