About Sailboat Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Catch the breeze and set sail towards festive shores with this vibrant Sailboat Ornament from Old World Christmas. It's a miniature vessel packed with memories of sunny days skimming across the water's surface. Originating from the seafaring expertise of 17th-century Holland, the joy of yachting has unfurled across the world, right into the hearts of water enthusiasts in England and the U.S.
This 4.25-inch glass ornament captures the essence of a breezy day at sea with its strikingly bold color palette—brilliant red, deep blue, and sunny yellow stripes adorning the glittery white sails. It's designed to evoke those happy times spent with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. The ornament has a whimsical, toy-like quality that brings a sense of playful adventure to your holiday décor.
This sailboat is all about love for the open water, the skill of navigating the waves, and the freedom that comes with steering your course. It's for those who feel the call of the ocean or the pull of the lake—anyone who understands that the true joy of sailing lies not in the destination but in the journey itself.
Let this little sailboat catch the twinkle of your Christmas lights and remind you of the great expanse of blue that calls for exploration? Hang it from your tree and let it take you back to those exhilarating moments of harnessing the wind, commanding the rudder, and charting a course for nowhere in particular but exactly where you want to be.
Text on Old World hang tag: Sailing on a windy, sunny day at the lake or ocean means freedom and excitement. Sport sailing, or yachting, seems to have originated in Holland during the 17th century. It spread to England and eventually the U.S. This little sailboat serves as reminder of happy times on the water.
