About Plains Buffalo Ornament
- A Kurt Adler Design
Once roaming the grasslands of North America, the buffalo also known as a bison is a really large mammal that has been hunted to virtual extinction. With a gorgeous painted style and glittered accents, this Plains Buffalo ornament pays tribute to the real life animal and it's highly regarded position in Native American myth.
Your tree finds a new friend this season in the Plains Buffalo Ornament, a majestic piece of the vast American grasslands. This ornament, from the renowned collection of Kurt Adler, presents a stunning rendition of the great buffalo, a creature once prevalent across North America's prairies. It's a tribute to a magnificent mammal that, through history, faced severe challenges, echoing a story of resilience and respect in nature's grand narrative.
Crafted from glass, this ornament stands at a proud 4.75 inches tall. It's a visual feast, featuring a painted aesthetic that brings the buffalo's rugged beauty to life. Warm hues of sunset cascade along its back, while the glittering accents mimic the sparkling dew on a fresh morning in the wild. The artistry involved celebrates the buffalo's esteemed place within Native American myths, honoring the animal's symbol of abundance and gratitude.
Every angle of this glass ornament reveals careful brush strokes and a palette that reflects the plains' own earthy tones. As light passes through or dances off the surface, the ornament seems to gallop across the plains, bringing a sense of freedom and the untamed to your festive decor. It hangs with purpose on your tree, a reminder of the vastness outside our windows and the history beneath our feet.
Honoring the profound respect the buffalo commands, this ornament also serves as a reminder of the resilience of nature and the importance of preserving the stories and legacies of all creatures. Ideal for those who hold an affinity for wildlife or cherish the cultural tales spun around the bison, this ornament adds a touch of historical reverence to your festive decor.
