About Phoebe Figure
- A Joe Spencer's Gathered Traditions Design for Gallerie II
Dear, dear Phoebe, with her wicked, crooked grin and an eye that looks like it sees right through you had better beware! Dealing with the witch Phoebe might have some dire consequences, but don't expect a warning from her!
Pheobe Witch looks like she’s just stepped out of a whirlwind and hasn’t quite decided whether she’s here to help or hex. At 33 inches tall, this witch doll makes an impression, with her wide, darting eyes and exaggerated manic look as if she’s mid-spell or mid-joke—hard to say which. There’s something about her that feels both a little theatrical and slightly unhinged, in the best way possible.
She wears a long striped dress in neutral tones, layered under a black cape that fans out dramatically. The fabric is slightly weathered, with just enough crinkle to suggest she’s been flying through the night. Her hat, tall and pointed, leans slightly to one side and is finished with a bow that’s hanging on by a thread—much like Pheobe’s composure. Her hair is a wild collection of black yarn curls, framing a face full of mischief.
In her arms, she clutches a small pumpkin-headed doll dressed in a bold harlequin outfit. Whether it’s a favorite toy or a backup trickster, Pheobe holds it tight like it’s an essential part of her act. Her long fabric legs dangle freely, making her easy to seat on a shelf, bench, or tabletop. She doesn’t need a broom to steal the show—just that stare, that tongue, and that unpredictable vibe.
This isn’t the pristine, polished witch of fairy tales. Pheobe looks like she’s been in the thick of things—laughing too loud, casting questionable spells, and maybe forgetting where she left her potions. Perfect for those who like their Halloween décor with character and a side of chaos, she brings just enough weird energy to make any display more interesting. Whether placed on her own or among a coven of misfits, Pheobe holds her own.
