About Ino Schaller ~ Olive Santa With Lantern
- Handcrafted Ino Schaller paper mache Santa
- Made in Germany
He may be small, but this little Santa has a full schedule. This 3.5-inch Ino Schaller Olive Santa with Lantern carries himself with purpose, frozen in motion as if he’s just stepped into a snow-covered village to deliver one last package. A satchel slung over his shoulder, a lantern glowing in his hand, and his eyes fixed ahead, he brings a quiet energy that draws you in.
Made of traditional paper mâché by the Ino Schaller company in Germany, this piece blends old-world techniques with intricate detail. His olive green coat shimmers slightly beneath a coating of icy beads, while the trim is flecked with cocoa-colored striping that adds texture and depth. Every inch has something to take in, from the rounded softness of his snow-tipped hood to the glint of gold on his mittened hand.
Vibrant shades of orange, yellow, and red adorn the lantern he is carrying, creating the appearance of light. This sculpture, which has a snowy base and a frosted tree behind him, appears to be ready to be displayed in a tiny winter scene or tucked away with other festive figures.
Despite his compact size, this Santa holds his own. The slightly arched stance makes him feel caught in motion, which helps him stand out from taller, more static figures. Whether added to a growing village of traditional paper mâché decorations or set on a mantel as a standalone seasonal accent, he brings a wintry mix of color, texture, and nostalgia.
