From Old World Christmas. According to legend the rooster has crowed only once at midnight - when it announced the birth of the Baby Jesus. For this reason, Spanish and Latin American Countries call their midnight mass on Christmas Eve the Mass of the Rooster, or Misa del Gallo. This mini White Rooster ornament may be small, but its pearly white feather textured glass is intricately detailed, and its red comb and face is very expressive.
