About Mailbox Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Delivering holiday spirit right to your tree, the Mailbox Ornament from Old World Christmas is a glittering nod to an age-old service. Standing at 3.5 inches, this blue glass ornament celebrates the time-honored tradition of sending and receiving Christmas cheer through the postal service.
In the U.S., where the dedication of postal couriers is legendary, the sending of Christmas cards remains a deeply rooted holiday custom, with over 2.1 billion cards winging their way across the country each year. This ornament embodies the excitement and anticipation of opening the mailbox to find cards filled with warm wishes and news from loved ones far away.
Dusted with glitter and shining in festive blue, the ornament features the word ""MAIL"" prominently displayed on its side, a promise of the connections it holds. Whether it's cards, letters, or thoughtful parcels, this mailbox stands as a testament to the bonds that not even distance can loosen.
Sending this ornament to a friend or hanging it on your own tree is like sending a heartfelt message across the miles. It's a celebration of the way we keep our friends and family close, no matter where they are, during the season of giving.
Let this little mailbox be a reminder of all the greetings that have made their way to your door and the affection that travels with every stamp and envelope. In the glow of holiday lights, it's a symbol of the joy that comes from staying connected all year round.
Text on Old World hang tag: ""Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds,"" is engraved on the U.S. Postal Service building in New York. Americans send over 2.1 billion Christmas cards each year as a way of expressing how much they care for their family and friends. This beautifully detailed blown glass ornament is a wonderful reminder to send someone a card today!
