About Ino Schaller ~ Krampus With Bag Of Coal
- Handcrafted Ino Schaller paper mache Santa, made in Germany.
The Ino Schaller company is one of the last remaining family owned companies that crafts traditional paper mache figures by hand, all from materials sourced and located in Germany. These Ino Schaller pieces are the real deal, and it makes us proud to continue the tradition of collecting that they started over 100 years ago.
Standing at 10 inches tall, the Krampus With Bag of Coal figure brings a dose of festive folklore with a dark twist to your holiday decor. This isn’t your typical Santa figure—Krampus, the horned Christmas figure from European legend, comes to life with this intricately designed piece from the renowned Ino Schaller family. Known for their meticulously crafted paper mache figures, the Ino Schaller company has been producing heirloom-quality decorations for over a century, and this Krampus is a perfect example of their craftsmanship.
Dressed in a glittering black coat, Krampus carries a bundle of sticks and a sack filled with coal—a reminder of the old tales where the naughty are punished during the festive season. His grim expression and silver beard add to the menacing yet captivating aura, making this piece a standout addition to any collection. The details are striking, from the tiny horns peeking from his fur-trimmed hood to the realistic texture of the burlap sack slung over his shoulder.
Each figure is handmade in Germany using traditional methods passed down through generations, ensuring that every Krampus is unique. The materials are locally sourced, emphasizing the dedication to quality that the Ino Schaller family upholds. The base is cleverly designed with a secret compartment, accessible by removing the cardboard insert, adding an element of surprise to this already fascinating figure.
Whether displayed alone or among other holiday collectibles, the Krampus With Bag of Coal is sure to draw attention and spark conversations. This figure is more than just a decoration; it's a piece of cultural history, handcrafted with care and meant to be cherished for generations to come.
