About Hairy Woodpecker Ornament
- From Old World Christmas
The lively and noisy Hairy Woodpecker is found almost everywhere. They eat harmful insects that they locate by feeling the vibrations that the moving insects make in the wood. So, these beautiful woodpeckers are beneficial to man by helping to save fruit trees and forests. This glass Hairy Woodpecker ornament captures the beauty of this species' spotted wings and red markings on its head, while also capturing the bulky form and large, muscular head that the bird uses to bore through wood.
