About

Product Description
  • Handmade in America by Rachel Garrison!
  • Due to the handmade nature, each piece is unique.
  • Face may be illuminated with the purchase of tea light candles (SS23097)

This Green Faced Crone has seen some crazy things. Probably caused a few of them too. At 13 inches tall, this crone arrives with a stare that could curdle cream and a look that definitely knows something you don’t. Created by artist Rachel Garrison and handmade in America, this papier-mâché lantern has a presence that stands out. Each one varies slightly in details due to the handmade process, giving every piece its own look and just enough unpredictability to keep guests on their toes.

Her face is a vivid green with wide, exaggerated features, deep-set red-ringed eyes, sharp cheekbones, and a pointed nose that leads straight into a toothy maw. The wide mouth is open and ready to cast some hexes, designed to glow when paired with electric tea lights (not included). That internal glow brings out the details in her expression, turning her from slightly spooky to full-on eerie as soon as the lights go dim.

And then there’s the hat. A tall, paper pointed party-style cone in bright orange and black sits firmly on her head, decorated with Halloween silhouettes, think owls, trees, and houses that look like they’ve seen better nights. A paper fringe of orange and black around her neck finishes the look, giving her a touch of old-school celebration layered under all that menace.

This 13-inch lantern makes a solid pick for anyone who enjoys bold Halloween décor with a wicked visage. Whether placed on a mantel, near the candy bowl, or peeking from a windowsill, the Green Faced Crone has a way of sticking in people’s minds. She's less about gentle greetings and more about watching from the shadows, possibly judging your costume choices, definitely enjoying the view. One thing’s for sure: she’s not fading into the background.
