About Golf Ball Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Golf, as we know it, was first played with a leather-covered ball stuffed with goose feathers. In the early 1900's the golf ball evolved into the form as we know it today. However, it was not until 1932 that the golf ball was standardized to weigh a maximum of 1.62 ounces and possesses a diameter of not less than 1.68 inches. The size of a golf ball is often used to denote just how small something is, like a hummingbird's nest! This glass golf ball ornament, with its amazing dimpled texture and pearl white color, is the absolute perfect gift for the golfer in the family.
