About Golden Walrus Ornament
If this walrus could speak, it might grumble about the cold, then roll over and fall back asleep. The Golden Walrus Ornament leans into the laid-back, larger-than-life nature of its real-world counterpart with all the bulk and character.
This 3.5-inch German glass ornament from Varsovia features a rotund body slumped into a relaxed pose, just like a walrus lounging on Arctic ice after a day of foraging. Its gleaming gold finish radiates warmth, while subtle violet flecks across its back add a pop of unexpected color, like light bouncing off frost in the morning sun.
This walrus is much more likely to be seen draped on pine needles than ice, even though actual walruses are frequently found throughout the Arctic Ocean and subarctic areas of the Northern Hemisphere. With its glossy finish and glitter details, it’s well suited for beach-themed trees, coastal décor, or even as a quirky winter gift for a marine life enthusiast.
It also adds an unexpected bit of humor to traditional holiday décor. Amid the nutcrackers and snowmen, a lounging walrus brings a little something different, and definitely a little slower-paced. After all, this isn’t a creature known for rushing.
The Golden Walrus Ornament adds a subtle yet dependable appeal to your tree, whether it is hanging in the middle or peering out from a quiet corner. It's one of those ornaments that just shows up and remains in place, maintaining an unabashed, contented appearance.
