About Feathered Friends Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
What's more delightful than one cheerful bird to perk you up during the festive season? How about a trio of them, nestled together in harmony! The Feathered Friends Ornament from Old World Christmas captures this joyous essence perfectly.
This ornament, with its trio of feathered friends, is a celebration of companionship and the shared melodies that fill our homes during the holidays. With a length of 3 inches, these glass-blown birds bring the spirit of camaraderie and song to your Christmas tree, each bird painted a rich blue with glittering orange bellies that sparkle like a warm sunrise.
Birds have long been a symbol of happiness and joy in many cultures around the world, making them a heartwarming addition to any Christmas decor. It's said that glassblowers would keep wild birds in their workshops, their singing inspired by the flame, only to release them come spring. This charming tradition reflects the spirit of giving and freedom that we cherish during the holidays.
Whether as a gift for a bird lover or a token of affection for a dear friend, this Feathered Friends ornament is a delightful symbol of the togetherness that the holiday season fosters. Let these three little birds perch on your tree, bringing with them a message of unity and the simple joy that comes from a chorus sung together.
Text on Old World hang tag: Birds are symbols of happiness and joy, and so they are regarded as a necessity on the Christmas Tree. Glassblowers often kept wild birds during the winter months since the sound of the gas flame in the workshop prompted the birds to sing. Then when spring arrived, the birds returned to freedom.
