About Fawn Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Tucked away in the branches of your Christmas tree, there's a special little creature stirring up lots of 'awws'—the Fawn Ornament from Old World Christmas. This 2.75-inch glass treasure brings the serenity of the forest to your holiday décor, with a touch of woodland magic.
The story goes that to protect her offspring, a mother deer once sought help to keep her fawn safe. In response, the forest was visited by a touch of divine artistry, endowing the fawn with a coat of spots, a beautiful camouflage against the backdrop of the woods. And just like that, whenever the fawn stays still, its spots help it remain nearly invisible to any who might do it harm. This ornament captures that tale with hand-painted spots on a glossy brown lacquered surface, embodying the innocence and grace of the young deer.
Curled up as if resting in its natural habitat, this fawn ornament is a symbol of peace and natural beauty. Its spotted coat is a reminder of nature's wisdom and the protective love of a mother. Every delicate spot is a testament to the care put into creating this little piece of holiday charm.
Whether for the animal lover in your life or to bring a slice of the forest into your home, this fawn ornament is a gentle addition to any Christmas tree. It's a sweet, serene presence among the festive lights and tinsel, a nod to the quieter, more graceful side of the holiday season. And who knows, maybe it'll bring a little extra peace and protection to your home too.
When the first fawn was born, its mother asked the Creator to find a way to protect her gentle and fragile offspring. So, God came to the forest and painted spots on a special coat for the baby to wear. From that day forward, as long as it remains still, the fawn’s spotted coat hides it from enemies. This fawn ornament's spots were hand painted on to the brown lacquered form of the curled up baby deer.
