About Eldred Rock Lighthouse Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
Built to guide gold rush steamers through Alaska’s icy waters, the Eldred Rock Lighthouse has seen shipwrecks, dynamite accidents, and a century of coastal storms, and it’s still standing tall. Now, it’s been miniaturized into a glittering 2.75-inch glass ornament, ready to bring a piece of maritime history to your holiday decor.
This ornament replicates the real Eldred Rock Lighthouse in all its geometric glory, from the square base to the red-roofed top and narrow tower above. Each window and line is carefully painted, with shimmering green accents and glints of silver to mimic snow, ice, and ocean spray. The base of the ornament reflects the rocky shoreline it was built upon, textured and shaded to resemble Alaska’s rugged coastal edge, complete with a band of glittery blue water that wraps around the bottom.
The Eldred Rock Lighthouse Ornament adds a unique and significant piece of North American heritage to your decorating collection, regardless of your interest in lighthouses, Alaskan history, or distinctive architecture. It's perfect for anyone who likes creating a tree theme with depth and narrative, collectors of historic replicas, or those who value obscure landmarks.
Give it to someone who has sailed the northern seas, has an interest in history, or is a fan of the seas. Or include it in your own holiday collection as a reminder that there is always light to lead you through storms, real or figurative. Despite its small depiction, this lighthouse has a rich history spanning more than a century.
