From Old World Christmas. On December 1, 1875, the beacon of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse filled in a previously dark 80-mile gap along the North Carolina coast. To distinguish the Currituck Beach Lighthouse from other regional lighthouses, its brick exterior was left unpainted. This glass ornament captures the brick exterior of the Currituck Lighthouse with a glittery bronze color and rectangular textured surface that compliments the black roof and silver and gold light housing at the top.
