About Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Ornament
- From Old World Christmas
If ever a tower could talk, this one would have stories of shipwrecks, storms, and sailors saved by its glow. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Ornament stands at 5.5 inches tall and pays tribute to a true American landmark with its black and white spiral tower and golden windows that glow like a beacon, even on a Christmas tree.
The real Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is known for guarding one of the most hazardous stretches of the Atlantic, Diamond Shoals. Its beam reaches up to 20 miles out to sea. Crafted in glass, this ornament mirrors the real structure’s defining details. The swirling black-and-white bands run up the height of the lighthouse, leading to a ring of amber windows representing the lantern room at the top. Complete with a textured finish and tiny windows, just like the actual foundation that sits on the coast of North Carolina.
The ornament sits on a blue-and-sand base, giving the impression of ocean waves gently lapping against a shoreline. Glitter accents are placed along the water, brick, and lantern room, making the entire piece shine under tree lights.
Great for collectors of coastal décor or anyone who’s ever been drawn to the sea, this ornament fits naturally into a beach-themed holiday tree. It also makes a thoughtful gift for those who live near, or have visited, the Outer Banks.
Whether your tree leans nautical or you’re just in the mood to switch up your usual holiday mix, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Ornament brings a beacon of light, and a lot of coastal character, with every glance.
