About Bold Stripes Box Sign
- A Dan DiPaolo design for Primitives by Kathy
It leads with bold stripes, carries bright stars on each side, and ends with the kind of message that doesn’t need to shout to be heard. The Bold Stripes Box Sign measures 9.25 by 4.75 inches and brings a straightforward design with plenty of patriotism in rustic style.
Painted in a weathered red, white, and blue palette, the sign features the phrase “Bold Stripes Bright Stars Brave Hearts” printed in large white block letters across a deep red background. On each side, vertical navy blue panels lined with white stars echo the colors and symbols of the American flag. The distressed finish gives the piece a worn-in look, like something that’s been part of your family's celebrations for years.
Made from wood, this block sign can sit on a tabletop, shelf, or mantel. Its flat back and boxed shape make it easy to prop just about anywhere. It fits right in with Fourth of July displays, but doesn’t need a holiday to make sense, its message carries all year long. Perfect for Memorial Day or Veterans Day, and just as fitting in an office, kitchen, or entryway where it can quietly do its job.
The familiar images of stars and stripes are brought into perspective, and they are connected by a remembrance of the individuals who created them. those who sustain the significance. Not a frill or an extra. Just a simple, strong statement, straightforward lines, and solid color.
