About Black Armored Horse Carousel Ornament
- A Kurt Adler Ornament
This 5-inch resin Black Armored Horse carousel ornament captures the power and intensity of a warhorse in full stride. With its legs stretched forward and back, this dramatic figure appears to be leaping through the air, every muscle tense with energy.
The horse's muscular frame is painted a sleek, glossy black and is clad in a coat of elaborate armor with a golden scale design running up its chest and neck. This carousel horse resembles a medieval warhorse, gives the design power and purpose. A touch of fierceness is added to the design with its mane, which is depicted in the armored design in brilliant silver to match the armored crest that spans the length of its neck.
The saddle, a striking deep red, sits atop a richly decorated blanket trimmed with silver and highlighted by swirling patterns of gold and colorful gemstones. Squares of blue and green accent the sides, adding a bit of fairground flair that displays beautifully with the dark, glossy coat of the horse.
With its flared nostrils, resolute look, and brilliant, concentrated eyes, the horse's head is exquisitely detailed, perfectly capturing the ferocious character of a charger in full speed. The broad, flowing arc of its tail, which is painted the same deep black as its coat, counterbalances the horse's striking forward gait.
The horse's dynamic attitude is grounded by a twisted, metallic gold rod that runs through the middle of the animal. It is capped and tailed with small, rounded finials, completing the traditional carousel appearance and adding a dramatic touch to any holiday display. With its dramatic, medieval style, this ornament is ready to be placed on a tree or included in a collection of carousel-themed décor.
