About Basketball Hoop Ornament
- From Old World Christmas
Basketball has come a long way since it was invented in 1891. Originally basketball was played with a peach basket instead of today's hoop and net. The first basketballs were actually laced soccer balls that made dribbling unpredictable. Now basketball is over 100 years old and has fans around the world! Whatever team you root for this basketball hoop ornament would be fun to hang on to the tree, especially when you place the basket ball ornament right above it! Now that's a slam dunk!
