About Vintage Witch in the Moon Display
- A Christopher James design
That witch isn’t wasting any time, she’s grabbed hold of the moon and is clearly in on the Halloween mischief! The Vintage Witch in the Moon Display, standing 19 inches tall, is a Christopher James design that brings vintage Halloween style to life with a playful and bold look.
At the center of this self-contained display, a classic 1920s Beistle reproduction shows a gleeful witch flying across a bright orange moon. She’s leaning in close, as if whispering a secret to the man in the moon himself, who gazes back with a knowing grin. Surrounding this central image is a ring of wide-eyed black cat faces, each one sporting an expression that adds to the display’s quirky personality. Though the display looks like an oversized tambourine at first glance, it’s actually constructed from layered paper images, all anchored on a wooden base.
A single flickering bulb sits below, casting a glow across the scene and drawing out every detail in the vintage graphics. The base of the display is trimmed with black and orange festooning, where you’ll also find a big-eyed black cat cutout, a smiling jack-o’-lantern bucket, and a Halloween Tales box for extra visual interest. A bright orange spider hangs off to the side, ready to surprise anyone who looks too closely.
A bold Happy Halloween banner stretches across the bottom, tying the entire piece together. Just plug it in and let the soft light create the perfect atmosphere. Whether it’s displayed on a mantel, an entryway table, or as part of a larger Halloween scene, this display promises to be an instant favorite. Vintage collectors and Halloween fans alike will find plenty to love here, this is one display that knows how to bring a little grin and a little scare to the season.
