About Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher Ornament
- An Old World Christmas Glass Ornament
You can tell a lot about what a bird eats by the shape and size of its beak, although for this one you can just look at its name! This gorgeous gray and salmon colored bird is long and slender from his beak to his tail, giving him the ability to swoop and catch insects in mid air! Even more impressive is his elegant scissor split tail that follows behind him like two long ribbons. A friend to gardener's and bird fans alike, Oklahoma's state bird is a unique and fabulous creature that is even more festive on a Christmas tree than in the wild!
