An American actress named Cassandra Peterson was best known for her portrayal of Elvira, Mistress of the dark. She hosted a horror film show for a Los Angeles television station in the early 1980's, parlaying it into iconic fame and fortune and all things spooky when her horror show was syndicated. She still plays Elvira to this day, most recently for a HULU series called the 13 nights of Elvira. Now you can add Elvira, Mistress of the Dark walking her precious poodle, Gonk, to your Department 56 Halloween village display!
