- An Old World Christmas Ornament
Known as the "Sooner State", Oklahoma has its name derived from the Choctaw words okla and humma, meaning "red people." This glass ornament is in the shape of the State of Oklahoma with a cowboy hat on top as a symbol of the Wild West cowboy culture of the state and its deep Native American roots. It features some of Oklahoma's state symbols, including the state bird (Scissor-tailed Flycatcher), the state mammal (American Bison), and an oil rig to represent the large amount of oil produced in the state. Makes a great gift for any Oklahoman, or hang it on your tree to commemorate a visit to the state! The back is just glittered blue, which could be a great space to personalize the ornament if desired.
