The Three Lil' Pigs is a famous nursery rhyme dating back before 1840, which is when the 1st printed version has been found, but the story itself is much older. The three pigs are known for building three different houses of different materials: straw, sticks and bricks. In the fable, the nemesis is a wolf who blows down the houses and eats the pigs, except the house made of bricks which he can't blow down. The wolf attempts to trick the pig out of his house in order to eat him, but that third pig is incredibly resourceful and he tricks the wolf into his home and cooks and eats him! As with all fairy tales, there are numerous morals within the tale.
Lori Mitchell has dressed each of the pigs differently with a bow tie and of course a different pair of Lori's infamous socks over their hooves! They each carry a basket to gather the material needed to build their house. Start a collection of these Lori Mitchell nursery rhyme figures for yourself or to gift to a young child!
